Delete your Notanica account

In the app

1. Open Settings, then Account.
2. Choose Delete account.
3. Confirm by signing in again with an e-mail code.

You are signed out everywhere at once and your data is removed a few minutes later.

A student account is deleted by the parent, in the parent’s account. Deleting a parent’s account deletes its student accounts too.

Without the app

1. Write to info@notanica.com with the e-mail address of the account. The button below opens a ready message.
2. We send a six-digit code only to the address registered on the account. For a student account it goes to the parent.
3. Reply with the code within 30 minutes.
4. We start the deletion and confirm in our reply.

We answer within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner. We never ask for an identity document.

What is deleted

• Your account, e-mail address and sign-in methods, devices, sessions and notification settings.
• Child profiles and everything under them.
• Every score: scans, original pages, versions, notes, bookmarks and settings, also those in the trash.
• Practice history and lesson progress.
• Classes, assignments, teacher links and shares you made.
• Your messages to us with their attachments.
• Library backups, data exports and your offers to the shared library.

What stays

• A deletion record: a keyed hash of the account identifier and the date. It holds no personal data.
• Copies that other people accepted from you stay in their own libraries.
• Material that someone reported to us as abusive stays with our team, out of view, until it is decided; a removed item is kept up to 180 days for an appeal.
• Records of staff access: who looked at which account and when, without any content.
• Backups kept by our database provider expire within seven days.
• Purchases: the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat keep their own records.
• Usage counts, if you agreed to them: raw events carry only a random install identifier that cannot be joined to your account, for up to 35 days, then only combined daily totals.
• A Sign in with Apple token that we keep, encrypted, only to cancel it at Apple: up to 30 days while Apple cannot be reached, then it is removed.

Subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple subscriptions or in Google Play.

Afterwards you can start a new account with the same address. It starts empty.
